Under the Anesthesiology department the AIIMS Raipur began it’s ICU (Intensive care unit) services for the people of Chhattisgarh and Country. Presently ICU has been commenced with eight begs. The ICU and hundred bed’s medical and surgical ward was inaugurated by dean Dr. S. P. Dhaneria. Medical Superintendant cum department head of Anesthesiology Dr. P. K. Nima said “This ICU facility will help those patients who are put on ventilator (artificial breath) and are in need of 24 hours monitoring. This facility would be managed by doctors of Anesthesiology department.” Mr. Neeresh Sharma, DDA declaimed that this facility would serve this and neighboring states and it is the priority of AIIMS Raipur to facilitate medical facilities at par with metro cities in Chhattisgarh under the PMSSY scheme.
