On the occasion of 71st Independence Day Indian flag was hoisted by Director Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar at 9:05 am on 15th August 2017 at AIIMS Raipur campus. Flag hoisting was followed by unanimous singing of National Anthem. During his address to the gathering director Dr. Nagarkar highlighted the achievements of India in various fields over the 70 years of long history.
