Significant Progress has been Made, Work Harder to Eliminate TB

To review TB elimination programme performance and utilize peer learning and cross experience in TB treatment, two days Zonal Task Force Workshop of five states has been inaugurated in All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur here today. Experts said that significant progress has been made in treatment and elimination of TB. More hard work by medical professionals can achieve TB elimination from India by 2025. While inaugurating the ZTF Workshop, Padma Shri and stalwart in implementing TB treatment protocol through public health care system in India Prof. Digambar Behera from PGI Chandigarh said that Medical Colleges have significant role in TB elimination. ‘Around 24 lakh TB patients have been identified last year. Three to four lakh patients may be counted as missing cases. It is a great achievement for medical practitioners.
