Raipur, June 21, 2025 – The Department of Yoga & Naturopathy, AIIMS Raipur, in collaboration with the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), New Delhi & Ministry of AYUSH, today celebrated 11th International Day of Yoga by organizing YOGA SANGAM, an iconic event with great enthusiasm at multiple locations across Chhattisgarh. The event, held under this years theme Yoga for One Earth, One Health, witnessed overwhelming participation from more than 450 participants including students, healthcare professionals, and general public. The main event at AIIMS Raipur campus saw more than 220 participants performing the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) led by Dr. Vikram Pai, Medical Officer, Yoga & Naturopathy, AIIMS Raipur. Simultaneous sessions were successfully conducted at CIPET Raipur which had 150 participants and Gautam College of Nursing, Dalli Rajhara which saw participation by 100 people. The synchronized yoga sessions emphasized the importance of holistic wellbeing and environmental consciousness, aligning with the global vision of sustainable health practices. Notable personalities from AIIMS Raipur including Lt. Col Dharamveer Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director Admin; Prof. Renu Rajguru, Medical Superintendent; Prof. Avinash Ingle, Dean Examinations; Prof. Anil Goel, head SPH along with faculties, nursing officers and staff of AIIMS Raipur participated in this event. Lt. Gen Ashok Jindal, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Raipur who was out of station due to unavoidable circumstances sent his message on this occasion: Todays event beautifully demonstrated yogas power to unite people across institutions for collective wellbeing.
