A Nationwide CPR Awareness Week from 13th to 17th October 2025 under the agies of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was celebrated at AIIMS Raipur with full enthusiasm. Thisincluded a series of activities aimed at sensitization, training and community engagement. We have conducted following activities during this week • A CPR awareness booth was installed at the Registration Central Dome area, AIIMS Hospital for awareness of lay persons visiting OPD. Demonstration videos of Hands-only CPR were displayed on large LED Screen attracted the attention of lay persons visiting OPD throughout the week. Master trainers conducted Hands-Only CPR (HOCPR) training of OPD visitors at this booth. • Second CPR awareness booth was installed at AIIMS OPD screening Area to conduct HOCPR training of community members. People were very much interested to learn Hands-only CPR using Manikins. • Third CPR Awareness Booth was installed at UHTC, Ramnagar Raipur also attracted visitors attention. People learned HOCPR and practice it on Manikins there also. • Fourth CPR Awareness Booth was installed at RHTC, Civil Hospital, Kurud for HOCPR training of OPD visitors in rural set-up. • We organized HOCPR training for medical and nursing students, non-teaching staff as well as school children of Sages Shahid Smarak School, Raipur. • Cumulative number of participants trained in HOCPRthroughout this week was1545,One thousand, five hundred and forty five beneficiaries including OPD visitors,Medical students, Nursing students, Non-teaching staff, and School children. • We did live streaming online Pledge by Secretary, MOHFW on Day-1. Students of First Year MBBS 2025 batch and faculty members took pledge in gracious presence of Dean Academics, Prof (Dr) Eli Mohapatra.Live streaming of Panel discussion organized by MOHFW was done on Day-2. Our Executive Director & CEO, Lt Gen Ashok Jindal graced this occasion. • E-Poster and E-Slogan competition: We have organized E-Poster and E-Slogan competition on the theme, CPR techniques and importance of CPR/ need and role of bystander CPR for MBBS, Nursing, PG and PhD students. We have received good response from the students for this competition. Dr Anil Kumar Goel was the judge for these competitions.Chiranjeevee Gharde from PG /PhD group, Dhruv Nirapure and Pragnya Kumari from MBBS group and Sneha Bhardwaj from Nursing group won the prize in these competitions. • Concluding Ceremony: Role Play by MBBS students & Certificate Distribution A Role Play with theme of Awareness for Bystanders CPR was played by 2nd year MBBS students, Parinita, Hrishabh, Lakshy, Nilay and Puneet in Central Dome Registration area. People watched it with curiosity and practiced HOCPR after Role play.Certificates were distributed to the Winners of E-Poster and E-Slogan competition as well as students who performed Role play. Medical Superintendent, Dr Renu Rajguru and Additional MS Dr Nitin Borkar graced this Concluding ceremony. • The Nationwide awareness week was conducted under the guidance of our Executive Director and CEO, Lt Gen Ashok Jindal. A core committee of Dr DK Tripathi, HOD Trauma & Emergency Department, Dr Anil Kumar Goyal, HOD Pediatrics and Dr Jayshri R Ghate, Professor Physiology was formed for smooth conduction of this activity. Various faculty members of Trauma & Emergency Medicine Department Dr Naman Agrawal, Dr Chandan Kumar Dey; Physiology Department Dr Arunita Jagzape and Dr Dipali Chatur; CFM Department Dr Ashwini Katole, Ashish Khobragade, as well as SRs Veena, and Purva, along with JRs and interns supported the whole program. Nursing officers Mr Anish, Mrs Prakash Mr Sipa, Mr Ganesh, Mr Vijay, Mr Bhimrao, Mrs Prabha and many more nursing officers as well as project fellow Ms Archi Sahu conducted training at awareness booth as master trainers. TheMedical Superintendent, Dr Renu Rajguru, Additional MS Dr Nitin Borkar, Deputy MS, Dr Dibakar Sahu and Dr Nitin Kashyap helped in logistics.
