AIIMS Raipur successfully conducted an Advanced Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Workshop with a special focus on 3D & 4D imaging, in collaboration with Wipro GE Healthcare and renowned fetal medicine expert Dr. Girish Patel. The workshop was organized and led by Dr. Vinita Singh, who has established the Fetal Medicine Subunit at AIIMS Raipur — the only government hospital setup in Chhattisgarh offering advanced fetal medicine services and invasive procedures at minimal cost, serving patients from across the state and neighbouring regions. The event was held under the leadership and guidance of Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd), Executive Director, AIIMS Raipur, whose continued support and vision inspire academic and clinical excellence. This first-of-its-kind workshop in Chhattisgarh featured live ultrasound demonstrations by Dr. Vinita Singh, showcasing both normal and abnormal fetal conditions, benefitting over 120 participants — including radiologists, obstetricians, and fetal medicine specialists — along with 17 patients who volunteered for live demonstration sessions. The dedicated fetal medicine team — Dr. Atiya Raza, Dr. Shreya Panda, Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Dr. Rakhi Sachdev, Dr. Lavanya Gurubelli, and Dr. Manoj — played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the event through their tireless efforts and teamwork.
