An awareness programme was organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing, AIIMS, Raipur on 19th November 2019, the 8th World toilet Day at Gudhiyari, Raipur, And Jheet, Durg. Keeping the theme of this year “Leaving No One Behind”, the awareness programme began with a flash mob followed by a Nukkad Natak. The Natak showcased the benefits of toilets and ill effects of open defection. The programme helped in providing information regarding the Government schemes for the construction of toilet among the community members and also in providing a learning experience to the nursing students to address the health problems and needs of the community and how they need to take part in health promotion and disease prevention. The programme was supported by Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M Nagarkar, Director, and Prof. (Dr.) S. P Dhaneria, Dean, AIIMS, Raipur.
