School Health Program was successfully organized and conducted by the 4th year B.Sc. Nursing students (Batch 2021) along with M.Sc. Nursing 1st and 2nd year students specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Health Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing of the College of Nursing, AIIMS Raipur, at Government Higher Secondary School, Guma on 7th November 2025. The program was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Raipur. The main objective of the program was to promote health awareness among school children, identify common health issues, and encourage healthy lifestyle practices. The activities for the day included a comprehensive health assessment of school students, covering general physical examination, nutritional status, oral hygiene, and vision screening. This was followed by health education sessions on important topics such as Climate Change and Its Effects on Human Health, Menstrual Hygiene Management, and Prevention of Substance Abuse. The sessions were made more engaging and student-friendly through interactive games, quizzes, and demonstrations, ensuring active participation and better understanding of the topics. A poster competition on the theme Climate Change Affecting Human Health was also organized to encourage creativity and environmental awareness among students. Participants presented innovative and informative posters, and winners were felicitated with prizes sponsored by the Rotary Club of Raipur. Additionally, distribution of snacks to all participating students was also kindly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Raipur, making the event enjoyable and memorable for everyone. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the Rotary Club of Raipur for their generous support, the school authorities for their collaboration, and the faculty members of the College of Nursing, AIIMS Raipur, for their guidance and supervision.Overall, the School Health Program at Government Higher Secondary School, Guma proved to be a meaningful and interactive initiative that enhanced the students’ health awareness and provided valuable hands-on learning experience for the nursing students, fostering community engagement and health promotion.
